Ok you guys, help me out......last weekend I went out for the first time to try out my wakeboarding abilities, much to my surprise I couldn't even get up on the board. I've always been a great water skier and thought I'd pick this up quickly. Now let me give you a breif discription of how it all went down. The friend that was pulling me said the easiest way to get up on the board would be to hold it sideways (somewhat flat) tuck my knees to my chest and at the point when he took off I should turn the tip of the board pointing forward. Now this never worked, the water force was so great coming over the board that it causes a wake right in my face and the board never got straight in the water. I think he may have been trying to put me up too fast but no doubt I need some good instruction on how to get up in a deep water setting. I know wakeboarding can't be as hard as it was that day. Please help, I wanna ride!
