I'm positive this has been asked before but that picture of Chad Sharpe in Kevin Henshaws boat got me wondering what kind of ballast people run in their boats. Give your boat and how much ballast you run. I got a Tige 20v and just bought another 750 bag that brings me up to 2350 pounds

Ok so quick question why do I have to ride at 25-26mph to get the wake not to white wash? I ride a 70ft rope but would ride a longer rope 80-85ft if i could but i'm not running 30mph cause thats death.

Matt,

Where is your ballast located? Too much in the back and the wake won't clean up until you're at higher speeds. It can also depend on the hull. I'm not familiar with the Tige's so I can't help on your's specifically, but I know with my Nautique, if I don't have enough wake towards the front, I need to ride faster/shorter rope for a clean wake.

Do you have much bow weight in the boat?

Hope it helps a bit.

Ok heres the setup we ran today 2 750s in the back they dont fill completely full i would say around 500 a piece maybe a bit more. Then 2 440 up front completely full plus around 100 pounds in lead under front seats

I have limited experience with the 20V but from memory we used to run 2/3rds weight in the front and 1/3rd on the back. Use TAPS to clean the wake up.

This topic is pointless without some pics. I'll chime in for one of the older DD boats...

This pic is with...
93 Sport Nautique
~1600 lbs, 70ft at 2800-2900 RPMs

Upload

The end of last year we upgraded...
~2300 lbs, 80ft at 3000-3100 RPMs
Sorry, the above is the best pic I could find. BTW I'm about 6'6"
