MC Impeller time

Does anyone know how long is to long to run
the motor out of the water before burning up the
impeller? I have a 02 x-10 and wife didn't turn off motor after loading on trailer today until about 10 seconds after out of water? How can I check next time i put in water

hmmmm...not sure. To help my dad trailer the boat I accelerate until the boat is out of the water. So about 2 seconds and the impeller is fine. How long did she run it without water coming out of the exhaust...that is your main problem. The boat has a lot of water in it after you trailer the boat. Most of it pours out on the road back to your garage. Im sure it is fine. Impellers are really easy to check. Just a few screws and you can pull it out and see.

Should be fine, but check it and if its scored or burnt looking or any fins are missing just replace. $25 and 4 screws and you are good to go!
