Why not really shock the senses & just move to Arizona, it's cool in the winter but heck what is 125 degrees in the summer? Just another reason to not leave the lake! Plus the property values are a little more reasonable.

Doin' my part Joe!!! Back devil migrants, BACK!!

Nothin' to see but traffic, smog, floods, fires, and earthquakes. Move along now, folks.

I would gladly trade a few months of snow for my 90 minute 32 mile drive to work, drought or record wet year(take your pick), smog, six hour 350 mile drive to a good lake....Have I left anything out? Of course going to the beach in the morning and then night skiing is pretty cool.

Don't forget property prices: average house, $400,000, wages no higher than Dubuque, Iowa; San Diego has 1 lake we can ride on in the whole county-- and it is closing in a year or so for 4 or so years to raise the level of the dam; you definitely do not come here to wakeboard. Surf, yes. Wakeboard, as Rex said, "Forget about it."

We do have good weather most of the time. But there is more to the "standard of living" or the "quality of life" than what temperature it is outside the office your stuck in for 9 hours or so 5 days a week(and another 1.5 hours stuck inside a car getting to and from work).
