We just rolled over the 200 hour mark on our VLX and my dad and I were hoping to do as much of the service check as we could ourselves for interest and to save some money etc...

What are the things we should really make sure that we check and cover? Everything is running smoothly right now but I want to make sure its in the best condition possible!

Thanks

new impeller, oil and filter change, fuel filter, trans. fluid change, lube shift, throttle, and steering linkage, check shaft/engine alignment, check trailer hubs, lugs, tire pressure, and grease or oil the hubs. you should be good if you do all that. check spark plugs also.

I'm pretty sure that we got the filters changed when we did the dewinterization less than 20 hours ago so hopefuly that should be all good still. I think the biggest thing to do will be replace the impeller and check the throttle and steering then. The boat stays on a lift and is only trailered once a year max usually.

Thanks for the suggestions

The throttle is fly by wire, no cable, so no need to check it or lube it obviously. This will help....
