what were you using to take the stickers off, razor blades?

The best thing to do is peel them off with just your hands and maybe a plastic putty knife or something similar if you need it and then use some goof off or even wd40 to remove the sticky backing left over followed by a light wax job

Did you just a heat gun? Get it warm, then peal off and use goo-off to get the sticky stuff off.

With sun & 80s in Cali you should probably be able to just leave the boat out in the sunshine for an hour or so, then peel them off with your fingernail.

I usually use the peeled off decal to dab at any left over adhesive, which will remove 90% of it, if not more. Then there are several adhesive remover products from the likes of Home Depot/Lowes like Goof Off, Goo Gone, etc. Some stink to high heaven & others have that fresh citrus scent ;)

blowdryer or something works well, any heat gun type thing..... maybe a razor just to start it, but then they go smoothly

heat gun or a hairdryer should work. I actually used this rubber wheel that our body shop uses to take off pinstripes and it was awesome it took about 10 minutes to do 3/4 of my boat

Use a heat gun and a piece of plastic like quarter inch thick to get it started and you should be able to pull it off. Use Acetone to wipe the glue off. Make sure when you use the acetone not to touch anything plastic or other decals/stickers on the boat. It will mess them up.

Heat them up with a blow dryer and use something plastic if needed. I used a credit card to get mine off. For the extra adhesive left behind I used 3M adhesive remover. It really does the trick.
