EE is a boarding-for-charity event at Volunteer Landing in Knoxville tomorrow.

Is anyone going? What time?

FYI: Eskimo is a derogatory (sp?) term. Inuit is the word that should be used.

If I was in Knoxville, I'd be going though!

I'll keep that in mind if I ever find myself discussing Eskimos in Canada, Greenland, Siberia, etc.

In the meantime, Eskimo remains the preferred term in the U.S. when referring to the Yupic and Inupiak peoples in Alaska. Calling them Inuit would be wrong for several reasons, one of which is the fact that Yupic are not Inuit.
