I don't know how things like this happen but whoever owns this boat ought to get his a$$ kicked...

Jeez, at least the guy could wash it before he took the pictures. Shows how much he cared for it.
I wouldn't give him more than 750.00.

how about his dig on MC..."the Coleman company then turned the boats to junk". Tough criticism from a guy who turned his sweet ride into a pile of crap...

I love the part when he says his kids don't want him to sell it, they want it because they grew up skiing on it... And yet the guy is selling it away on ebay...

Someone should leave him in a barn for 6 years...

I'd have to say that it was post Coleman when MC hit rock bottom. They were kicking out great boats in the early 90s. Brad has one of them, and the '94s are still one of my favorite boats of all time. I'd say '98 was rock bottom, after the Coleman deal was over. I don't think they totally rebounded until '01-'02 at least in the slalom marketplace.

That boat doesn't look like it is in that bad of condition. He must have cared for it for the first 10+ years anyway. I still wouldn't throw down over $2k for it.

If anything sits outside in humid, rainy Florida for 6 years, in a craphole of a shed like the one in the pictures, it is totally shot inside and out... almost worthless IMO.
Add to that it, doesn't have an engine. What happened to it? Did it evaporate or just rot into oblivian?

Hey!! We like out '98 205. How dare you talk bad about it! Just kidding. can't argue with a boat that can do everything decently. Slalom...okay, wakeboarding tre bien, especially with 2300lbs of high quality H2O! Northstar LT1 rocks!!

The '98 ProStar is hideous for all events. I'm guessing I have a little different take on whether the 205 can slalom very well. I had friends with a '99 205, and it was one of the worst slalom boats I have ever skied behind. I was basing my opinion more on the 190 than the entire line though. I'm sure the 205 has a decent wakeboard wake. The 209 continued the tradition of horrible slalom boats! I'm sure that LT1 rocks though.

Run Away from that boat. To many suprises hiding in that thing. Since when did a 1980 MC cost $15k new in 1980, not a chance. If you could buy that and get it in good useable condition for anything less than an additional $6k I would be really suprised. I'm an MC guy with a 86 I am restoring and wouldn't pay more than $500 for that heap.
