Wow, that is incredibly irresonsible. Johnboy can you point me to the original thread, please?

Question:

Hypothetically speaking, how does everyone suppose the various state legislatures, NASBLA (National Association of State Boating Law Administrators) and Coast Guard would react to injuries that proliferated due to advertisments like this? Especially if a law suit, as Anodyne projects, is involved?

This politically correct nonsense is starting to piss me off. Why can’t you call people in a pontoon boat not paying attention to where they are going, watching and waiting for the guy behind them to go one on one with a prop a bunch of dumb a$$es, and not “trained professionals”.

These “trained professionals” are the ones that will cause problems in our sport down the road…

That is so wrong. There are stupid people everywhere that would try that just because of that picture.

HAVE to say something. Where i board/surf many do this behind out boards bc theres only 2 wakeboats around. We all have 20-22 ft semi-offshore boats with 250 yamahas. I dont do it much but i admit ive done it a couple of times. These boats are WIDE and the part u ride is not even close. Also got alot to do that were teens, but ive seen my friends fall a bunch and they never come close. The motors trim down a bunch and we put 1-2 fatboys on the side and our wakes will easily keep up with any wakeboat. So while many think we are stupid by making due with what we have, we think its stupid spending 60g+ for a wake boat to use in saltwater. Plus the boat we do this on the most has a jackplate that can literally bury the motor in the water. But for the most we do it behind my friends 02 xstar

why spend 60k on a wakeboat when you can spend more replacing your limbs and plastic surgery

Elliot, you're not going to win on this one. What you are doing is VERY dangerous and just because someone hasn't already been killed doesn't mean it's not going to happen. I personally know a guy in Florida who use to ride behind the same type of boats and give the excuse you are. That is until he fell head first into the prop. He got EXTREMELY lucky only getting away with minor cuts to the forehead but he swears that if he had gone another 1/2" forward he'd be dead.

I can't afford a $200,000 plane but that doesn't mean I'm going to jump off a cliff with a pair of cardboard wings.

Bryan, I got harrassed one day out at Ano by an elephant seal. Scared that Sh#t out of me. It rammed my board then took my leash in its mouth and started tugging on it. Anyway I'll only go out with you if you have a pontoon boat.J/K. Let me know when you are going.

i knew i wouldnt win...damn. i just like to arque haha. I dont surf behind outboards...but we do put the rope at wake surf length and slash the wake at 10 mph when we cant go behind an inboard. It really is fun if u try new things like d-ups and labacks.
