man this spring/summer has been a deuzy so far in terms of weather. So much rain and low temps. I have only gone riding on one weekend so far as the other weekends I have been up at the cottage have been cold or raining.

Anyone else having a bad start to summer?

Lots of wind. Even when its warm and dry, the water is still blown out.

It's been dry but relatively cool. Finally getting some rain, now i'm hoping for the heat!

I've had enough of the cold nights with fire bans!

David, Scott A knows winter riding. we have ridden the delta on some 45 air 45 water days. 4/3 suit, 1.5mm gloves, and 3mm booties for sure

Such a crummy first half of the summer in northern MI. Never would I imagine myself riding with a fullsuit in July, but its stayed so darn cold so far. Top it off with relentless wind and good sets are far and few between for us up here...

Seattle is having the best summer in years. It's been 70+ every day for almost two months straight. We've had a couple days in the sixties this week and we actually enjoyed the clouds.

Now I am reminded why I moved from the midwest 20 years ago. The only gripe I have is that the lake water is too warm. LOL

Hmm...we have had highs of 100-103 with water temps of 90-92 degrees in the Dallas area. Feels like you are sweating in the water. LOL.

Its been very dry.

The spot we usually ride at is to low to launch the boat so we are forced to go to busier lakes.

Finally it is raining.

We have been dry, windy and cool. We were at our home lake on Friday, went to one of the deeper launches and had to gently walk the Bu out over the gravel bars to deeper water. I am in the same boat as trapper, forced to go to other lakes!
Old     (xbones)      Join Date: Mar 2007       07-08-2009, 9:56 AM Reply
We've been blown out all year. Our lake is at full pool so when it hasn't been windy, only one pass down a slough and you can bet the rollers will be bouncing off the sea walls on your way back. Lame.

Here in Texas its been 100 for the last month. We need rain really bad here.

It's been the rainiest year ever in Northern Illinois. Fox River chain has been closed a lot because of high water.

The mosquito's are really bad.

We got 0.27" of rain, and 100 degrees every day in June in Houston. Jumping in the water is actually hotter than the air temp, feels like a hot bath.

Lots of rain & wind here. I've been out three times and couldn't wakeboard, had to wakesurf all three times because the lake was crap. But then again if anyone farts out of the north the lake has rollers.

Our water is freezing still... only 72 degrees, typically it's in the mid 80's by this point.

Not to mention our high's of only the high 60's and low 70's ain't helping.

Saturday night the lows went into the 50's for crying out loud!

GLOBAL WARMING???????????

holy cow chris.

I don't actually think i've ever been in 110 degree heat before. 100 is about the hottest i've experienced.

Last weekend the lake I was at was 57...we haven't had a day over 80 this year and last week we almost had frost overnight.

Terrible in Ontario. Extremely high winds 24/7, low 20s, around 68 for all you Americans. But it has rained at least 2 to 3 times a week. One of the worst summers by far...

What we will hear next is that the cooler weather this summer is part of the cycle from global warming.

Michigan we have had very cold weather but the lake is so.... smooth because no one is out. So it's kinda nice but a hoody is a must these days. We get a low 80's day if lucky it seems and for some reason the wind is like 15 to 20 mph go figure, and everyone is scambling to get some boating time.
Old     (slipknot)      Join Date: Aug 2001       07-16-2009, 7:12 AM Reply
Its gonna be 115 all weekend, we have to stay in the water though and drink fluids nonstop.
