last summer our family vacationed on a houseboat on dale hollow lake (tenn.) it was a excellent lake for wakeboarding. this year we found some better prices on houseboat rentals at center hill lake. any info on how these lakes compare would be appreciated.

Center Hill is absolutely the best lake in Tennessee. It is super clean, wide open, not crowded and for wakeboarders it is great because of the long fingers of water hidden from the wind. All lends to smooth riding.

Center Hill is a great lake, but the Northern end will certainly get crowded. There is always good water on the southern end if you know where to go. There are a couple waterfalls that you can drive up to and like Adam said, it's clear and clean.

Dale Hollow is a bit more isolated and much less crowded.

Which part of center hill? The upper end can get crowded, like Shawn said, But Pates Ford on the lower end is awesome! They have houseboat rental and cabin rental. The cabins aren't the greatest, but O.K. after a hard day on the lake. Head up the lake to find bigger water, you won't have to go far.
