My friend has a 216 needing winterizing and encountered an electrical sensor on one of the drain plugs (above the oil pan). Does anyone know if its simply alright to 'pull' that plug without worrying about the sensor?

thanks.

Should only be a knock sensor, if it is it should be fine to remove. I have this on my Marine Power engine and have to pull two of them to drain the engine.
