I am looking at buying a used boat for wakeboarding for around $10,00 and I am ready to purchase it right now, cash. Let me know if you want to sell yours, what it is, how much, etc.

I have a 99 bayliner I/O with tower, board racks, and tower speakers that I will sell for $10k. It is posted in the classifieds with pics.
It is a great boat for wakeboarding because it throws a really good wake. We do all kinds of tricks behind it.
let me know if you are interested!

Bess! What are you talking about? If you don't think you can get a good wake boat for 10k, you have never done any research....

Really? I've done some but the best I could do was like $22k, can you really get a good wake boat for 10k? Defenitly a good thing to know...

For about a half a year now, I have been doing research on boats. You can definitley find a good inboard for 10k. The only problem is finding one that is close to you. In minnesota finding boats over the internet almost seems hopless. But in Texas ive seen quite a few good boats for 10 to 12k.

Thanks for the emails. I will be buying a boat this week for my birthday so I will make my decision soon. I appreciate the emails, and keep them coming. I have seen some very good deals for less than $10,000 so they are definitely out there. I don't even mind paying more, as long as it is the most bang for the buck. I just can't spend too much becuase I am just a beginner and my wife would go nuts if I spent too much.

The late 80's 2001s are very good wakeboats. Now if you want bling, of course you are going to spend way over $22k, but if you just want functionality, you can do very well for $10k.

That is it exactly Nick, I want function, don't care about looks as much.

are you looking for some room??? If you don't need the room, I would go with a Nautique 2001.

Hey Nick I saw an ad that said that the 2001 were 16 feet that can't be right or is it?
Old     (kstateskier)      Join Date: May 2002       01-14-2004, 6:50 PM Reply
I would say they are about 18-19ft. I think they had a smaller boat called the Ski Tique that might have been in the 16 feet range. Nautique made a boat called the Ski 176 or something a couple of years ago that was a smaller entry level boat, like 17-18 feet, looked kind of like a replica!!

Alex I've seen that boat at SOS, It's still for sale? How long have you been trying to sell it? Nice upgrade to a SAN.

Bess: I searched for a picture of my old boat's wake, but I just don't have one. I have some older pictures of the wake before I was using fat sacks and before I started experimenting with different engine tilts/trims, but those aren't really accurate.

woody: Yes, Surf & Offshore had this same picture hanging on the bulletin board for about a year. I noticed at this year's Christmas party that someone had taken it down or moved it. I didn't bother to ask. But yes! This one-of-a-kind wakeboard pleasure cruiser is still for sale! I've had a lot of fun with this old boat, and it's a great entry level boat for some one who just doesn't have the cash to blow on wakeboard specific boat.

Most closed bow direct drive boats work well. They are alot skinier and provide a great wake if weighted correctly. Just look for a clean one.

Anyone ever see this boat in Castaic or know anything about it? I'm going to go look at it and buy it if everything on it looks good.
