I know there are posts on here about weighting an x-2, so direct them to me if you can or let me know how you weight your x-2 and what speed and line length you run. Thanks.

I weight my 06 X2 as follows:

- Stock ballast full
- 120lbs of lead under each of the front seats on both sides
- 80lbs of lead on each side of the motor
- Fly High upgrade

For a total of about 2900lbs of ballast, plus fuel and people. The boat seems to really like weight in the nose, so if you don't have the above available, fill the stock ballast and add as much as you can in the front.

Big, meaty and solid.

For me, I like 70' at 22.2 MPH, I have other guys that I ride with who ride 75' at 23.5 MPH and one kid who rides 80-85' at 24 - 24.5 MPH depending on the water conditions.

I usually run between 21.6 and 22 at 70'.
Installed a modified version of the fly high kit and with 7 people in the boat really had trouble getting it out of the hole. Have you all changed the prop? I have an 06 with the mcx.

The stock prop on the 06 does not like all of that weight. I switched to an OJ 14.25 x 14.50 per OJs recommendation and man it makes a world of difference. If you have an 07 and later I believe it comes with that prop so you don't have to make the change.

yea the 07 and later come with the 14.25x14.5. I read that they also have a 14.25x15.5 out now that is doing well with ballast and still having speed (well more anyway) for the barefooters/skiers/cruising without turning high rpms crowd. I read today on the MC site that this new prop is standard on some of the LY6 motors. I run the stock 14.25x14.5 on my x2 and even upgraded my old 06 x1 to this and I really liked it for a heavy weighted boat on both the x1 and x2.

eric johnson from OJ normally is on this forum and is on mastercraft's as well. tell him what you want to accomplish and he will tell you what you need
