Yeah, pretty unbelievable. Nose grab in the middle of handle passes. Charging for sure.

I know Myke. It seems like until recently, everyone has been doing the same tricks with the exception of the 1080.

i suddenly feel very bad for shane bonifay,

it would be like if somebody went out and did a wake to wake nose grabbed 1080 infront of rusty

Not really, im sure danno and shane are bros and that will just push shane to go out and throw one up from d-harf. its all about the fun.

imo a flat spun 7 like shanes is way more impressive then the super corked 7 of danny.

agreed proho. flat spins get much more respect in my book.

i as well like a flat spin much better.

A flat spin is probably harder, but Danny's off corked nose 5 just looks so smooth and unique that I'd much rather see people spinning toeside backside like him. Flatspins for pretty much everything else though.

the flat spin is sick, but harfs ts blind nose grab spins are incredible and definately get more credit in my book than shanes 7 (which is also very impressive) but i imagine that harf landed his clean clean clean

since when in wakeboarding did it start becoming corked instead of o/a? it isn't snowboarding...if there is a difference, explain
Old     (jcv)      Join Date: Oct 2005       09-09-2007, 7:17 PM Reply
seven20, there is a difference...and I have no clue how to explain the . A "by the book" TS BS OA spin looks like a mini-batwing and then a whole lot of fast spinning. Danny's is almost an invert, initiating the spin off the wake by getting his board up almost above his head and out towards the opposite flats (it almost looks like a blind pete 5 about 15 degrees short of being "inverted").

There's a "traditional" (and sick) TS BS OA 5 near the end of this video.

Danny's version is the first trick in this video and is shown again later on.

did anyone notice danny is riding the new foam core version of his board? Its called the DHV1 I rode it at radar lake 2 weeks ago and its sick! it weights like 6 or so pounds, about half as much as the regular one board

How come every time someone lands a new trick, it turns into a "well it would have been better if he did it this way" or "so and so's trick is cooler because he does't it that way?"

You guys suck.

Congrats Danny. We just started seeing OA TS BS spins in contests. Taking it to 7 is SOOOO sick.

C'mon J-Rod, no one here ever wants to see anything other than a stalefish BS 180. You should know this by now.
Old     (malibuboarder75)      Join Date: Jan 2004       09-11-2007, 11:07 AM Reply
Haha, yea Jeff, totally agree. I would rather see a big floaty double grab 3 than a 1080 any day....that's why I have chosen not to watch any of the 1080 videos.
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       09-11-2007, 12:53 PM Reply
Yeah...I agree too , let's all stop pushing the sport, and new tricks. All we need are slow, grabbed 180s and 3s. Who needs to see Rusty do a giant 1080 20 feet in the air and stomp it with authority? That's lame anyways.

I've always liked how people rag on those that don't do many spins saying you have to "spin to win" and stuff like that. They say watching somebody flip all day is boring...but they have no problem watching somebody do 3' and 5's all day with no inverts. Hypocrites! I like to see people mix it up...and if that includes a TS BS 7 or 1080 then so be it!

I see we are still using for 'sarcasm'. Guess I forgot to use it in my last post.
