It seems that just when we think we can't do anymore to our boats and tow vehicles to dial them in any more the craze of custom rims on trailers has officially hit and is spreading fast. It would be great to see what those set-ups looks like. Post em if you got em!

Check my profile pic. Didnt like em at first but they came standard on the trailer.

Kevin,

Your boat is pretty hot. I think it looks great. I am thinking I am going to go with these in a 20" on my trailer.

Thanks I love our new boat.

Those would be sweet with your trailer, what about your tow vehicle. Match em up!

Oh those wont work on that truck. That is a sweet ride though. Maybe something Foose that is similar but with more bulk inside. But those wheels would be nice on the trailer. I have a black Z71 Suburban and wanted them to match the trucks wheels instead of the 20's it came with. Wouldnt work though and they grew on me so I guess Im keeping them

the wheels are going on the truck just the trailer. I am having the wheels on the hummer powdercoated for a more consistant look. I hate it when you see street truck type rims on the hummer H1's. the are not meant to look street.

That will look sweet. Post some pic's when you get it finished.

I say a less flashy and more rugged rim would look cool since it is being pulled by an H1. Are those the same wheels brady has on his Tahoe?

I have looked and looked and just haven't found anything. I have access to an escalade with plus size rims and an 07 denali that I will be doing alot of towing with this summer that has some pretty hot 24's on it so I want a nice even balance. any suggestion are always greatly appreciated. good to see you on here Sammy. hope you are doing well. Love your new ride BTW

thanks, it is treating me well, minus the whole 6.0l gas difference

oh well on gas you get to a point that it makes you go numb and you just enjoy having a nice safe vehicle. White denali XL's are about my favorite car.

people should put their trailers on a 6" lift to match their trucks

bryan you might want to take those side steps off when you go offroad they look a little bent

lol, I know I know a few impromptu sessions have cost me a few dings. Oh well, at least it was fun. I have some new ones sitting waiting to be put on the day the truck needs to be pretty. Your set up looks so sweet. Too bad we are half a country apart. The two hummer both towing supras would be quite a site to see pulling up to the ramp at the same time huh.

Those all look great. To those of you running wheels that are bigger than the typical 15"; are you running a lower-profile trailer-specific tire to make the overall diameter the same as stock? If so, where are you finding these tires? Or are you just using regular low-pro car tires?
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       04-25-2007, 7:57 AM Reply
if you go with 18's you can still get a pretty beefy tire that can hold the weight.... when you go to 20's you are going to need to run a low profile performance tire... none of them are specific trailer tires, but i ran them all last year and they were great....
