Just bought some new Kicker KS 60's for my 2002 launch and it looks like the grills will not cover the factory speaker mounting holes. Has anyone else had this problem? The factory speakers have a large bolt pattern for a 6.00" speaker. Does anyone make an adapter ring or should I just make some? I could just fill the holes in the glass in the middle a rear but the front bolt holes are thru the vinyl. Thanks

sounds like the factory speakers are 6.75" units, it would be best to take advantage of the larger footprint with a bigger cone speaker - like the Polk DB675 or the good ole Pioneer TSA-1780

The factory speakers are the el-cheapo type that the grill and speaker are all one piece, the holes are drilled way out on the edges. The cutouts in the boat measure 5.25". Would the larger 6.5 or 6.75 speakers fit this hole?

Mikeski is right. I had the same problem and went with the db675.

Randy, did you have to enlarge the holes to fit the db675?

Vince. I did have to enlarge the holes. I used a sawzall. Also had to remove a few panels to cut for the ones in the back.
