I rode at Boreal yesterday. The mountain is open top to bottom. Was nice to be back on the snow finally.

We had snow fall the second weekend in October . No accumulation yet, but it has snowed several times, including yesterday... thos of you in Florida, take a set for me! Sugar Loaf (45 min away) is opening in two weeks, rumor has it there is a couple feet of snow on the ground about and hour north of Farmington (where I am at school now). Total craziness.

I cant wait to snowboard again, went for my first time two years ago, rolled all the way down the mountain and hated every minute of it, although last year I went again a few times and lets just say I improved some =) now I love it and cant get enough, just like wakeboarding, For anyone thats new to snowboarding the first time is the hardest, it only gets easier, so don't get discouraged!!!

J-Rod,
That was wise fo you to ride there during the week. I was there on Sunday and it was out of control. Peeps chilling at the bottom of the rail like it was nothing. UGH!

I'm so jealous too. No snow yet here in Indy but damn cold that's for sure. Don't mind snow I actually love it but this cold weather and no snow doesn't go well. Enjoy boarding if you can, can't wait til spring.

Sierra at Tahoe opens this weekend. Let the season begin!!

Bess, I'm actually a little jealous of the NorCal folks... they get the best of both worlds. Spent 2 weeks out at Lake Tahoe 2 years ago, and didn't want to come home ! You gotta ride what mother nature gives you.

J-rod... can you not handle the terrain park? You didnt hurt yourself, did you?

Winterpark opened today, by this weekend half of the ski resorts in Colorado will be open. Most have a mid-mountain depth of around 20 inches and there is a good storm blowin in!!! So did you guys learn to snowboard first then wakeboard? or the other way around?

Hey Bethany,

We'll be chillin in the Sierra parking lot Saturday afternoon having a BBQ. Keep an eye out for us. We should have a group of at least 10 people, but possibly as many as 24. You're welcome to stop by for lunch. We're going up to get our season passes. Looks like we're getting some fresh snow too!

J-Rod... how are your ribs? You gonna be able to board?
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       11-14-2003, 10:23 AM Reply
My ribs are jacked, but Vicodin and Advil fixes all. I'll be riding. I may not be able to handle all the hits, but I can at least run a video camera and keep up.

J-Rod,
I will for sure keep an eye out for you. We have passes too! I'm trying to convince Shannon to come out on Saturday, I'll tell her you are going to be there.
