Just before we left for vacation early on Saturday, August 2, somebody stole all of the wakeboards off of my boat. It was parked in the driveway in Cincinnati, and the boards were in the racks. The thief obviously knew what he was after, because he took the boards and nothing else.

Here is what was stolen:
2005 Hyperlite State 135 with Spin "standard" bindings
2006 Hyperlite State 140 with XL State bindings
2006 Hyperlite Parks 136 with small Parks bindings
2007 Hyperlite Eden 135 with small Eden bindings

If you could keep an eye out for these I would appreciate it. The fact that they took the boards and nothing else makes me think that they must be boarders. We had about $40 in the glovebox in loose cash, and they apparently didn't even look.

Thanks
Jeff

Bummer.

How come you left boards in the racks, on the boat, in your driveway?

We've never had any problems at all. We live on a corner which is not busy, but it is traveled and neighbors keep watch. Cincinnati is not exactly the wakeboarding capital of the world, and most people around here would not even know what they are, let alone what they might be worth. To top it off, we have a huge dog that barks at the wind. Getting something stolen at all is strange, but I'm not sure what these guys think that they are going to do with my boards. If they use them they'll be seen, and they won't be easy to sell. I have insurance, but more than anything else I am just pissed off.

That's rough man, I know what you mean about not expecting to be ripped off, I guess no one really expects to be ripped off but if you're living in a small community it just isn't something that happens very often. If I got home and all my gear had been pinched I'd be spewing.

I usually leave my boards out to dry on the old man's back deck, pretty casual round my way, and he has a big dog too. I'd never expect to show up to ride and not find them where I left them.
