whenever i try them it seems to pull me off axis and i cant figure out why. ive tried to hold the handle lower and higher but with the same thing happens. i was thinking maybe an indy grab or something would help me stay over the board.... what do you guys think?

You are rushing, I personally garauntee it! Wait a bit longer to let go of the little handle and you will be fine. Think of it this way. Whatever axis you are on when you let go of the little handle is the one you will rotate around. If you are still riding up the wake you are off axis, so if you let go that soon you will rotate that way. Wait until you are at the peak of your jump, and wait until you have leveled off your axis. It will help.

Scott is right. Do whatever it takes to wait...including indy grab or intoxicating substances (I landed my first one after many falls when I had a little beer buzz on b/c my reaction time was slower, thereby forcing me to delay my spin).

Yea wait. Especially if you do it wake2wake. The longer you wait the better. Dont worry the boat will spin u in time to land. I landed this trick 2nd attempt and landed wake 2 wake my 5th. It aint no thing. Then you can start taking it off axis and frontside wrapped like randall the vandall harris.
