Hey guys, thanks for the info on my last thread about picking a new board... I've now decided to go for either the 08 Liquid Force Lyman 139 or the 07 Hyperlite Murray 138.... so I'm looking for opinions on both boards and which is better! What are the key differences between the two boards and so on.... I'm an intermediate rider weighing about 150lbs and I ride behind a Ski Nautique 2001.

The only other thing is.... I am from England so unfortunately demoing the boards is hard and the costs are uber inflated compared to over there! Ive found a deal on an 07 Murray for £174 ($345) and the cheapest I can find an 08 Lyman over here is £329 ($650!) So if anyone can think of a way to get either cheaper then I'm open to suggestion! Bearing in mind even if I order from USA postage and VAT and taxes, which work out at 20% ish if declared and would have to be from a proper company I guess take the price to about what it is over here anyway :-S...

Thanks for your help guys!

dude, the lyman is totally worth it IMO, but only pick it if you want to go big, it's a little squirely in choppy water but it won't kill your knees. other than that pretty much what we always say, lots of pop faster than hell, super loose ect ect

now who's got a murray review ?

Is the 07 Murray the same as the 06 Murray with different graphics, I've heard it is a very heavy board?

^^^Yes. I would roll with the 08 Murray though. Much lighter and cool technology from Greg Nelson. It has a continuous outer rail and a three stage inner section. It makes sense if you see it.

Also, it would be very difficult to find a LF dealer in the US to ship you a 2008 board. They are restricted from exporting.

that is not all true. you cant ship LF out of the country in bulk. however, a dealer can ship "one item from each category" of the LF line to a single customer out of the us.

Well regardless of whether i could or couldn't it will work out at about the same price factoring in the massive postage and the taxes and duties :-( ah well!

So what are the key differences between the 2? Is it worth me paying an extra $300 for the Lyman?

This must be something new Andrew. I was told you cannot ship anything current.

Sorry Andrew. Just spoke to LF. You can't ship anything out of the country. Your secret is safe with me.
