I am trying to find a good 4/3 wetsuit because lake erie is always freezing. It probably takes up untill June to hit 70. I dont know what brand to get.

Why not just buy a drysuit? Way more flexability with a baggy one and the best part is, you don't get wet.

I agree. Get a dry suit. Makes your season last a bit longer, and are much more comfortable than a wetsuit.

"Bare" makes a nice one for about $250. O'Neil is also great. I believe a bit over $300. Both are very nice.

I have a bare, it works just fine. I heard the neo seals on the more expensive oneil ones don't seal as well as the latex ones on the bare.

I dont see people wearing a life vest with there drysuits. Are they wearing them under them? Also what is it like trying to swim in one if you had to?

Chris,

I have the O'neil Boost and love it. I always wear a PDF in the drysuit just in case but unless you empty (burp) all the air out of a drysuit you are much more buoyant due to the trapped air.

As for comfort, IMO they are just as if not more comfortable than a wetsuit. Mobility is excellent (compared to a 4/3 or 3/2) and being able to wear fleece underneath makes it nice.
