Our lake is so blown out and chopped up in the summer, we pretty much have only been wakesurfing this summer...we have decided to wakeboard in the winter and wakesurf in the summer.

Me for sure, I've wakeboarded for ever but lived on the coast in Texas and in Hawaii and surfed there so I love to get in a surf set after a little boarding.

I still ride but I'll admit that this year surfing has taken a huge presedence over it. I'd say about a 10:1 ratio anymore.

If the kids dont come out with us we dont even bring the wakeboards anymore. Just skate and surf but 95% surf.

Wakeboarded quite a bit last few years, but I think we've only brought the wakeboard once this year.

My first love is surfing but with the VA crackdown on surfing I've been dusting off the wakeboard and found how awkward it feels after having put it away a while back.
Amazing how effective their measures were, I don't see nearly as many surfers in some of our old haunts

2 sets of boarding and some nice wrecks, then I'm ready for 2 sets of surfing.

If water is choppy then we might not even get the wakeboard out of the racks.

I've wakeboarded for 12 years. Last year my buddy with an 97 Response got a Hyperlite Broadcast and we surfed about half the time, wakeboarded and skated the other half. This year I bought a 23LSV and I only wakeboarded twice, didn't skate once, but rode my Green Loogey like a champ all summer long. I've already replaced one boardrack with a surfrack. Wakeboarding is just too hard on the ol' body. I wasn't going to progress much more on a wakeboard either, but surfing is totally foreign to me so it was a great learning experience and it was nice to feel like I was accomplishing something out on the water while having a ton of fun. Can't wait till next year as our season is done already!

Wear myself down on the wakeboard, surf at the end of the day.

I find myself wakeboarding less and less....and it's gotten to the point that now I don't even bring my wakeboard with me. I've just hurt myself too many times and it's just not worth it anymore. Besides, I've become addicted to surfing and no injuries :-)

I started out wakeboarding and I enjoyed it for 8 years. Wakesufing came along at a perfect time when my 40 year old body was ready for softer falls. I absolutely love to surf and I never get enough of it. One of the neat things about surfing is I can ride with people of all ages and hold my own.

I'm in the same boat (not literally)as Rye Bolts. I don't see myself progressing much more on a wakeboard, and surfing is much, much easier on my body. Now I just have to find that perfect setup for the boat.

About 24 times last year. Only once this year.

After a few concussions in a row I am now a full time wakesurfer when behind the boat.

Been trying to get my wife stoked about real surfing for many years now. She started wakesurfing this summer. Now its game on with her in the ocean or the lake.

I am right there with all you guys...the falls and injuries on the wakeboard started hurting way more the older I got and surfing is easier on the body...and what other sport can you drink a beer and pull 3's. I still wakeboard but have become extremely selective on when I ride...gots to be butta!~

Have not been wakeboarding pretty much at all. I used to, and would surf a little, but i really messed up my back last summer and i have wakeboarded twice since and only road and carved a little for 10 minutes. 17 years old, and iv already broke my back, whiplash twice, and enough concussions that i dont remember how many ive had lol...6 or 7 minor ones? Can someone say DAIN BRAMAGE!??!!?

I fractured my ankle wakeboarding last year. Regardless I would still have made a hard switch over to wakesurfing.

Still wakeboard if the water is butter, otherwise surf most of the time.

This is roughly how it breaks down for us in our boat lately...
wakeskating=40%
wakesurfing=25%
wakeboarding=25%
waterskiing=5%
not towing/cocktail cruise =5%
having fun=100%

an airfoil looks like it might be fun to try...

Use to Wakeboard 95% of the time. Tore the Right ACL 5/18/08 and work was to busy to get the surgery so I bought an expensive brace and took it easy Wakesurfing 90% of the time, and only Wakeboarding when it was butta and took it easy.
Still haven't gotten the surgery and the ACL isn't bothering me as much, so I tighten down the brace and Wakeboard about 70% of the time. My lady loves wakesurfing so we do a little more now, it changes....learn a new trick and it revives the Wakeboarding or Wakesurfing.
