Hello, today was my second day out, first time gettin up tho, i got up first try w/ a trick my friend told me that he held out on the previous time. but i got up first try today, and i could go out side of the wake, and cross over from wake to wake, but i felt kinda unsteady, what can help this and what new things should i be doing to progress? thanks

Good job bro. All you need is a little time on the water. Just hang out back there, cut back and forth for a while and get used to carving. That will make you more stable when you go to start trying stuff. What i did wrong when i first started was trying to jump to much to early. All i did was fall so i didn't get alot of time actually up on the board. Get a feel for your edges. My best advice would be to purchase a instructional video. Maybe higher education or detention. They're both good. GOOD LUCK and HAVE FUN!

I second Jeremy's advise on the video. At your current status, one of those two video's will help out a ton. After that, you just need time on the water - lots of time.

After you get comfortable getting up, start riding switch right away and get comfortable with that as well, it will pay you bid dividends later. The videos will show you what to do and how to progress.

By the way, I ran across a website that you might want to check out - www.totalvid.com. You can download both of those videos for about $2.00 each but they will only play for a week. It's like renting them from Blockbuster. They use Microsoft Digital Rights Management (DRM). It's totally legit and legal, so no worries there. Good Luck!
