So I got a Bantam handle last year, thing is awesome, super light, cushy and wide.

this past weekend I noticed it was heavy...I happened to shake it and it's got water in it! HUH? Thought this thing was sealed.

Where the rope passes thru the handle to attach is a rubber grommet. If you move the grommet you end up seeing a very small chip about the size of a pen tip. As I looked closer under better light, I noticed that there appears to be an insert in the handle here and that it's got issues all around it.

I am wondering how the chip got there as it was hidden by the grommet. I also wonder how it got filled with so much water...

Anyone have info or similar problems like this?

It got worse over the weekend...gonna give Straightline a call and see what they can do.

Other than this issue, the handle is basically brand new. There's not a ding, mar or scratche on it!
