Broke a Liquid Force board in half many years ago on a backroll. Don't know what I did but it felt like concrete when I hit the wake. Fortunately it was still under warranty.

My roommate broke a board last weekend. He goes big and it was a simple huge 180 into the flats.

in 02 or 03 LF substance and fushion boards seemed to break very easily. had about 6 sitting in the shop waiting for warranty. no problems since LF came back with a vengence.

Damn, are these all breaking on sliders, or what? I've taken some pretty hard falls, but I've never broken any of my boards.

I think I'd cry, cause i'm broke as a joke! I've cracked mine sufficiently along the edge (about an inch in) and warranty covered it, but never broke it in half. Then again I don't hit sliders (yet).

Damien you are so full of sh.t! Didn't you used to pack 3 boards for 1 weekend? I think I seen one of your boards break in half after you just looked at it...

This guy didn't break it on a slider. He broke it on a trick.

Who was it? I missed the comp last weekend but my neighbor got 3rd in state for intermediate. Do you know if they have overall results posted somewhere? Thanks
Old     (socalwakepunk)      Join Date: Dec 2002       08-10-2005, 6:58 AM Reply
The boards that I broke had never seen sliders. Neither did the last one that Joe broke. Damien's boards break themselves if they even think he is gonna ride. Kinda like suicide.

Justin Hinds, he was the only intermediate to land an invert. Kyle Hurtgen is one my neighbor as well and he rides outlaw. Plus there are a few guys that I talk to down at Clearwater who ride Outlaw. yeah my boxer is the baby of the family and a total water dog. she gets excited everytime you put on a swimsuit, and pissed if you go out on the boat or seadoo without her.
Old     (ladythump)      Join Date: Jul 2004       08-10-2005, 7:34 AM Reply
Oh yea, Justin was there. We'll be posting some pics of the tourney tomorrow.
By the way, thanks for the info you sent me on Clearwater.
Our boxer is the baby of the family too. Last time we went out without her,she proceeded to swim after us in the boat and just kept swimming and swimming after the boat. Finally I had to tie her up to a tree. Ours is named Cabo, what about yours?

Mine is Haylee I got her in Chile, so we call her the Chile Dog.. we have had to go and drag our out of the lake on the seadoo many times where she has chased off some geese or a "bad" pontoon boat

J-Rod - hahahaha!

The day someone makes a board Buffalow can't break we won't be seeing too many more threads like this!

If I can get 20 rides on a board...I got a good one. I have broken a board on the very first trick...GD swears it was a prtotype though.
Old     (ladythump)      Join Date: Jul 2004       08-10-2005, 8:08 AM Reply
wow. it must be cool to go so huge that you break a board,... but DAMN! that must get expensive after a while.

JRod, I didn't picture you so blonde.
Old     (guido)      Join Date: Jul 2002       08-10-2005, 8:42 AM Reply
Look how proud J-Rod is of himself...... I was talking to Aaron Aubrey a couple weeks ago and asked him how many boards he breaks (he goes sooo much bigger than anyone I've seen ride. 90' of rope and way into the flats on everything), anyway, he told me he either breaks them right away or they last a long time. I guess sometimes you get good boards and sometimes you get bad boards.

As for me.... ha, ha at 6' 160lbs I don't think I'll be breaking anything anytime soon (except myself maybe). I've seen a lot of board break though and it takes some big steeze to do it. Most of the ones I've seen break are hyperlite DNA's. Allen has broken 2 in the last 2 years (he also goes huge, by the way.)
Old     (guido)      Join Date: Jul 2002       08-10-2005, 8:43 AM Reply
By the way.... that Byerly in the first pic was one of the original DNA boards that didn't have the carbon rods. I'm suprised it didn't break sooner. Allen broke that same board 2 years ago. They have since made them a lot stronger.

First off, NO MORE bleached hair... the 90's are dead ok??

I have snapped a few, usually it was death by bouy bonk. Many bent fin bolts as well.
