First of all your work is WOW! After working on my minor stereo issues yesterday I have a new appreciation for all the crawling around on the floor and shoving you arm in a hole that it takes to do your caliber of work.

I have stock 2000 SAN clarion system. All the left speakers cut in and out. I pulled out the stereo and saw nothing suspect. Wiggled and jiggled all the wires and could not make it fail. I squeezed the stereo to replace it and everything on left side went silent. I found I could tap on it and make it come back on. I figured that it is 9 years old and time for the trash.

Any suggestions for a replacement? I have a 6 disc cd changer and need an ipod/mp3 output. Stock MTX tower speakers and whatever CC used OEM. I have a remote volume control and a fader. The speakers seem fine and I don’t see a monster stereo system in the future. :-) They too will need replacing at some time I’m sure. I just don’t want to be shortsighted in my decision.

Coinless: If your name is any indication of how much money you have to spend on a new system then you are talking to the wrong guy.

Depending on how much money you wanna or can spend Im sure there are lots of people here on W/W that can help you build a system on a budjet.

I have no idea what your budjet is. To me a starter system is 10K.

Syn6 for the towers, Syn4 for the in-boats, and a Syn1 for 1 XXX sub. Thank you drive through.
