Most of the new bindings in general do not need any kind of binding lube. my Ronix ones dont need anything.

I don't need slime to get into my 06 3Ds, but do sometimes just cause I like the smell of it. Yes I'm a wierdo.

Luke, I feel like its a comfort thing, yeah you do get added control but I find they are just so much more comfy. Open toe boots I feel like always cut off circulation to my toes, which is wierd I know but I just love the feel of the boot. Plus every single part of your foot has contact with the boot giving you more control. Plus they are uber warm which is nice if you live anywhere other than FL.

The Ronix rise are awesome. It is true once you go closed toed you will never go back to open toe again. I love how easy they are to get on.

Do you have any problems keeping them on. Usually easy on means easy off, and I like a tight fit. Who don't?????

Murrays i have no problem with having to use newt juice. Wet them down and your foot a lil, and your set to go.

uh paul... easy on with laces tighten doesn't mean easy off... we are far from old school bindings here... I never used slime and I wore Ultras for 5 years... I liked the simplicity of the bindings... when I tried on the Watson last year I was like... I gotta have those... I went for the Shanes since they were not as stiff... you dont need any slime to get into those and the fit really good once tighten... in fact, I think I could put those on with my shoes on if they were a size bigger... almost as much hold as the ultras... I tried 3ds and Murray and they are not easy to get into(read "are a bitch to get into")... and I didn't felt as good when I finally did get into them... I would understand someone wanting to use slime with those... I would be scared cuz slime disolves pretty fast with water...I would juste get them wet when on and twist you foot a like to rinse them from the inside... I would recomand using soap though cuz its doesn't disolves as fats... in fact, you never should use soap to get into bindings... I have the feeling that Ronix's would be as easy to gent into than Shanes and Watsons...

I ride the shanes and my foot NEVER moves around at all while riding or falling, but they go on easier than a pair of flip flops.

I have yet to come out of the Ronix ones while riding, I have had a couple of hard falls so far. They are very easy to get off after your set, which is always nice. (Message edited by pfort on April 02, 2007)

What is the ankle support like on the ones. Wakeside.com told me that the ones are more flexible than the 07 shanes. Do you know if that is true?
