me and my friend want to drive down there from Chicago for a couple days.. the only thing thats stopping us is getting a hotel. He is 19 and im 18.. know of any cheapp hotels we can stay at?

alright. im pretty used to cold water in wisconsin anywayy. If anybody is there on saturday or even tomorrow and you see a kid wearin blue and white boardshorts, a white helmet, and riding a Marek with ronix ones.. feel free to say hi and give me some tips! ill need em'

im from lake geneva and driving down on monday the 29th or tuesday the 30th. cant wait to get out of the cold and ride owc for the first time!!!

Bart you can stay at a Rodeway Inn on 192 near Disney for about $28 a night and it is clean with a heated pool. We stay there every time we are down. Its about 15 min from OWC right off I-4 exit 64.

Scott, We would love to come anytime ,Things have been slow at work & I've been low on funds so I hate to mooch a ride. I'm hoping things turn around after the 1 st..I just had a idea, we ALL can ride all day at Scott's for what you will spend for a hour at owc & still have money for party favors.. How can you pass up riding on a lake (Clear lake)that the Florida pros live & ride during their off months & you've seen in countless videos!

Leaving for Florida on the 7th. OWC on the 8th and maybe a ride on Clear Lake. THen JAX for a few days. Gotta love Florida in the winters when your from Indiana.

Sorry Scott I thought you would like some paying riders. My butter is the Winter Park chain, Not as many pros but some good talent here also . All we have to ride is a 79 Nautique but working on a bigger boat to sack out!

we should look for a weekend day to do a wakeworld OWC day, us florida natives may have work or school on weekdays.

I want everyone to come ride for sure! I just don't want to "push" things about my lake. I will be riding this weekend for anyone that wants to come out.

I'm hoping to make it down in mid feb... going to Miami boat show but looking to escape upto Orlando for some boarding action!

Just got back from ODub/McKormick yesterday. No suit top needed ;) It was 86 on saturday.

What kind of boat is that? It looks like an 80's Century Coronado / Cardel. Any more pics? How's the ride / wake (ski and wakeboard)?

It is a 1971 Coronado, I started the project a year ago redoing the floors & painting it, Still not done but made my seat boxes in the back to hold a 400lb sack on each side, then one 400 lb in the ski locker . I'm thinking 650 for the front. The wake is clean from about 15mph & up with no weight but I have not tried it out with any ballast.

6th-9th im in seattle with the hype team. most everything else is good, so let me know.

Thanks for the info. Would like to see any more pics if you have them ie. interior / wake. I've debating about going the Coronado or Resorter route in lieu of a Supra Sunsport. Like the idea of a more v-shaped hull to handle rougher water for general boating / cruising, but not sure if the what the wake would be like for waterskiing in comparison to a Sunsport. Did you add the trim tab and swim platform? Any re-enforcing req'd for those? Any pics of the floor replacement project. Really curious to see pics of that if you have any. Thanks!

I'll make a new post over in the boat section soon.I like the classic lines & they only made 56 in 71 you won't confuse it for another boat. I have pics' of most of the work . With the prices of boats right now I've seen 2001's go for $3-4000 it would be easier to buy then build. .It was more of a father / son project. I do not want to clog up this post.

Scott, Myself and friends are flying in between 4-5 on Wednesday. What time is it getting dark down there this time of year?
