Surf in Santa Cruz - RJ has issues

So the big guys, Frank Wolter, took the crew surfing in Santa Cruz the last couple of days. We have done this before and had a blast with Frank and Chris. Honestly, Frank is always a good time. I mean, we could be stuck in a trash compactor in the detention level together and find a way to laugh and have a good time, you know what I mean?

So Frank texts me these 3 pictures today, since I had to stay home, only RJ and Whitney went out with them and Mitch Lemos was also with them.

My impression of these pictures is that:

1. I think I need to setup a PayPal fund for RJ, the psychiatric bills are probably going to be expensive.

2. Mitch has gotten too hooked on the Twilight books/movies and is now afraid of the sun.

funny robert as you dont notice all the details ( at least i cant ) on the i phone pictures on the screen!! was definetly alot of fun and was great to spend some time with RJ and Whitney!! Whitney was a trooper extraordinaire!! surfing 2 days in a row in the cold without the wetsuits that chris and mitch had showed alot of grit!! we had 2 cameras the gopro you sent and my cannon and took no pictures again out on the boards ...... no one wants to sacrifice surfing time to be camera person!!

we are in robert 99.9999% as of now!!

got some great footage on the gopro of mitch and chris wakesurfing and skimming ....... reverses and bigspins

my computer had major crash and just up and running but no flash drives working yet to download video

ok frank, weather looks great, lets do it. I think we have a full boat! Crazy man, you get your wish for a mini polar bear already. I am still working on the worm hole, though. For now you can stay in the guest house and drive back the next day.

I know I may be crying about this in April, but for now I am going to enjoy it.

those are great pics!! me and chris were at santa cruz yesterday afternoon ...... chris was trying to get his first airs ..... lol unsuccessfully but really starting to tear it up some!!

i rode my new Shortboard for the first time and did some ripping!! paddling out on the shortboard sucked for me though!!

Wow. Time warp. I lived at the Hook in the late '70's-80's. My dads house was off Park Ave. I would ride my 10 speed with my board all the time.

Yea, I just picked up my Sanger in Sept. but have not got to surf behind it yet. I have only done it 2 times behind a buddys X2. I wanted to go the Polar Bear so I could learn/ get some tips from you guys but had too much to do. I pick up a learner board for my daughters but I am waiting to get one for myself till I ride a couple different types. Maybe someday I can meet you guys and you can show how its done. John

where do you live now? do you get in the ocean anymore?

we are going to start surfing behind the boat some now ...... you are more then welcome to come anytime and check it out or ride ...... we ride outta bethel island in the delta!!

you are more then welcome to get out on the boat with us anytime!!

I got to see my 1st real ocean surfing this past week. 10ft swells came through Santa Barbara area and I went down to Riccon (?) and watched for a few hrs. Very cool.

I still live here, but about 20 min. south. Have not been out in years except to fish. I would really like to get on the boat w/ your crew but it would have to be a weekend unless I take a day off. The drive would be 2hrs maybe? Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it. John
