The shop near me just started selling wakeskates, they have O'Brien and Hyperlite boards. I've never wakeskated before but want to get into it. I'm 6'0 and 150lbs which size and board should I look at? Also can I use my old skate shoes instead of buying wakeskate shoes?

I just bought the $99 HL Scape (112) and it seems fine...This weekend was my first time on a skate and I really enjoyed it. I wanted to make sure I like it before I go and spend $250+ on a board. If you are talking about a $99 board I think it would be hard to go wrong with either, quality is pretty low on both companies lower end skates. If you are going to spend more than that I'd do some homework.

I'm 5'9 178 and bought 112cm.

Old shoes are fine I think...I rode in my NB's :-)
