Looks so sick, but kinda goofy. any one ridden it? And is it good for beginner?

Probably not a bad beginner board, but that would also depend on your size. I got to finally check them out in person while we were out with the local rep a few weekends ago. He added a center fin to his caption, so I'm not sure how just the two fin would ride. Ronix will have a NEW surfer out very soon, its to be an 09 model from what I understand. Same size/shape as the Caption but completely different material. It is super floaty!!

I rode one. The board is too narrow, not enough surface area and therefore too slow for me at 215 pounds on a very good wake.

Unless your about 100 pounds I'd try something else.

i have one, not really my style but my bro loves it. he likes it because it is like his hobie fish (surfboard). my bro is about 180lbs.
