I'm sure we all have the local underdog we were rooting for. I wish Justin Butinsky had made it. But I'm talking about the more obvious guys. The guys who did well on the tour last year that didn't qualify this year. Are there many well-known riders that didn't make it?

Joey Arcisz, Chris Ramirez, Joey Bradley, Duston Swafford. Wes Briscoe, Jake Husso... come to mind. But there were many good riders that just had a bad day. It is to bad that they cant try again.

Chris Ramirez all the way. I have watched him out at TSR alot, and he has done stuff that kills. I was bummed to see his score.

Yeh I know. He rips. Just a bad day. Also Cody Hall did not make it and he too rips it up.

Dean Smith, the kid from Australia, didn't qualify either. But there will be spots open along the way for these guys if they get their entry in early. Not everyone that qualified will hit every tour stop. Plus these guys can still enter the non-PWT events like the triple crown stops, Malibu Open, Nationals, etc.

Nick Binkoski would have if he didn't do an s-bend into a slider. IMO

he is doing well
the docs say 6 months
he will be back in 4
so keep a look out for him. he is all over this months issue of wakeboarder mag.

Jakeman- I agree, Nick(Crash)Binkowski is another one. He had a pretty sick run going. I was on the phone talking with my office when I saw Nick do is S-Bend into the flat bar. I was shook up when I saw it and screamed into my phone and hung up. It really scared my office because they thought it was my son, Derek that I was sreaming about. I dont ever want to see anything like that again. Gook luck, Nick.

I thought JD Webb could have moved on - but he had a really tough heat to ride against.

Keith didn't ride because he's rehabing from his acl surgery. He qualified due to his ranking in the last 13 pro events.

Hopefully Keith will be back competing in Ft Worth or Reno. He's riding again so it's just a matter of when he feels his knee is ready.

YAY Derek!!!!!!
and what is the difference in a paid mail in list? does that mean they qualify because they were the first to pay for an open spot?

and please, the difference between a pro rider list and and a pro tour ranking list??
thanks, robyn

OK maybe I missed this, what is the "Pro Rider 13 Ranking list"?
Old     (sdboardr99)      Join Date: Aug 2001       05-13-2004, 2:07 PM Reply
It's the Pro ranking list based on the previous 13 contests. After each contest, the results change - because the latest contest is included in the results. So after Ft Worth, the rankings will change based on the results of Ft Worth.

Robyn, yes you are right. The first people to pay that aren't part of the automatic entries are given slots on a first-come first-served basis. Which is why it's important to enter early if you're not on the list but want to be.

Hope that makes sense....

You are sooo right. I was standing right by the slider that Nick ran into. I saw him go out into the flats - though"OK he's not going to try the slider" then I saw him start his cut and thought "I guess he knows something I don't" (Because he had not cleared the slider yet for the trick). He hit the last few feet with a crunchy sound. I thought he would be hurt - when he came up, he gave an "I'm OK wave" and looked OK. But I heard later that he seriously broke his leg. It was not a pretty sight.

I noticed that too. The list I got came fro PWT.

Yeah those 2 lists are very different, not sure how to explain it. The list I posted seems to be the actual ranking since Danny and Parks are on top and the 2nd list is in alphabetical order based on first name.

So I'm assuming the 2nd list posted by tommyc is the actual entries for Ft Worth.

See how simple the new Elite format is?
