Infant life jacket recommendation

We are taking our little one out in a few weeks and need an infant life jacket.

Any recommendations on which vest to get?

Tim...We have the Jetpilot infant jackets. They have a cool graphic on them, and look alot better then you'r standard infant jackets.

The neoprene ones look sick...but the cheapy ones actually stay a little cooler (breath better). Go with the neoprene...they won't remember. :-) Shon's little Jet Pilot ones look sick.

get a neoprene one they are more comfortable for little ones. my daughter hatted wearing a nylon one but has no problem with the neoprene one it doesnt slide up on her as much

We've given up on the neoprene for our kids. They all rub the kids raw for some reason...

on cga vests, my experience has been that i get rubbed raw with neoprene. all of my kids have worn the nylon vests all day evey day at the lake and never had any rash from it.

2nd the nylon ones. The neoprene smoke the kids. They are better, more solid, etc, but my kids run hot.

3rd the nylon, the neoprene ones seem to ride up on the really small kids and the zipper rubs the area under their chin raw. The zipper on the nylon ones don't come up as high as they do on the neoprene ones.

Function over fashion when it comes to the safety of my kid.

went through 2 neoprene vests. Now she's got a vinyl one. They all look uncomfortable as hell, but they're designed to float the face up in the event of disaster. I agree that the neo vest is hotter and less comfortable looking, but she never complained either way.

it's awesome and is the most comfortable one we've found. we'v been taking our 3 month old out since he was 6 weeks in it this season.

we have the salus. Highly recommended. Only jacket that really fits a baby under 20 lbs

Tim both my kids have the Hyperlite infant vests (0 - 30lbs.) I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old. My only problem with the vest is, my daughter swims like a fish in the pool (with floaties), but when we're on the lake/river, she has a hard time swimming with the CGA vest. It keeps her balance off and puts her on her back. That's what it's suppose to do, but she get's mad because she can't swim with that vest on.
