Saturday I tried to get a room at the Bluewater for the event and they are sold out. Corey Moratta and I were going to share a room but that does not look like its going to work out for us - does anybody have an extra bed and some floor space that they would not mind renting out to us?

Hey Capn' Jim! We will have 4 or 5 in our room, but you and Corey are welcome to any left over space!

What is the "Canyon Lake Anti-touney"? I'm guessing if you're staying at the Bluewater it's at Parker? Is it club only or can anyone show up?

Yeah, It's at the Bluewater, Parker AZ. Kinda like a comp but not really, no judging, just a lot of fun. Maybe even innertube double up contest. Indoor waterslide w/worlds coldest water (spa at the bottom). Year end awards banquet that night. Everyone is welcome!

Hey Jim, would you be bringing any of your world famous PB&J sammys?
Old     (teamvaldez)      Join Date: Apr 2003       10-12-2004, 11:16 PM Reply
Hey Jim, well I knew there was a reason that I hadn't canceled my reservation yet. We are unable to go and I still have my reservation intact. it is for a 79.00 room, Interested?? let me know!! hugs, robyn

BTW Jim they allow NO wakeskates on the water slide!!!

Jeff you never mentioned until now about the innertube double up contest!!! Now Nate and I could be a major factor in that competition!!!

Mucho luck with the wind this year! If you get another year of wind like last years you could break out a Kite Boarding expression session!!!

Jonathan - we really missed you and Nathan this year! Are you guys going to Parker? What is your schedule like this winter, I still need to trade pulls with you.
Old     (socalwakepunk)      Join Date: Dec 2002       10-13-2004, 4:29 PM Reply
Steven, you can try the hotel, see if they have had any cancellations, (888) 243-3360. If they are full they may be able to refer to another local hotel. Or we could try to find someone to room with. Sure hope you can make it.

Winter is busy but hey I will make it happen. I have a hectic travel schedule through mid Nov then things call down. Damn I want to go to Parker. But that Sunday at 1:30 PM I fly out to Phylly for 2 days ugghhhh!! Last year was great. The awards banquet was first class too! You guys do an awesome job!!

Jeff,

Robyn and I talked and we switched the room to my name. Too bade team Valdez cant make it - always a blast watching them ride. Corey is going with me and the CWB rep (and his wife if she is coming) are welcome in the room too - he has not called me yet though.

Hey Jeff, If I could make it out there is there any way I could find a place to crash?
Old     (socalwakepunk)      Join Date: Dec 2002       10-13-2004, 9:21 PM Reply
My # is (949) 279-2502. It may be an airmattress on a patio, or in the back of the Suburban, but if you make it out there, we will find some place for you.

You guys are fast. I just sent Jeff the thanks email for thinking about me and my name is already being thrown around with the likes of Jim and Corey. The CLWC is so quick to be gracious.
I will take you up on the offer. It will be only me... And the VLX of course.
I'll be in Fri early evening for some evening sets. If there is someone looking for a pull, my boat is open.
Jim, I'll call you tomorrow.
Jeff, you never cease to amaze me with your thoughtfullness.
Did that make me sound gay?

Thanks alot Jeff, if I i do get there, I'll sleep on a rock, I knew I could count on CLWC, you guys are what wakeboarding is all about

BTW - Steve, I'm working on getting Pat down for this, Could you give him a call, let him know your're there, and tell him he sucks if he doesn't go?

if not this weekend, maybe I can make it out over christmas again . . . but to tell the truth, to board with you guys, sleeping on a rock would be worth it

Um... just a little note to those of you who have never been to the Blue Water. To get to the registration desk, you have to walk through the CASINO! (my ass cheeks can feel the gravitational pull on my wallet)

Do they have roulette?
Dear God please say no.

Do you think a VLX will fit on black?

You gotta bring your dog!!!! I can see it now, a glorious game of Texas hold em, all the chips piled in front of the pooch!!!!

Yeah Steve, bring the slobber hound Bailey. She has a mean poker face especially when she watches you sleep, weirdo dog. Note, if sleeping on Steve's couch cover yourself or be licked awake by a golden retriever. Jim if worst comes to worst, we have an extra bed at my dads house a little upriver.

Hey Ben, I would say to call their reservation desk, (888) 243-3360, they may be able to refer you to another hotel/motel. I wanna say that they did this last year (probably thinking that people are comming down for a specific date anyway, and will drop some coin at their tables).

Same offer goes to you - May not be really comfortable, but if you get there, and need a place to crash, you are welcome to any leftover space we have. Lotsa fun, sure hope you all can make it!
Old     (dirwoody)      Join Date: Apr 2003       10-14-2004, 11:53 PM Reply
Jeff - Airfare fell through, might be bringing down a group of 2-3 others on a lovely 22-hour road trip . . . think there's that much extra space around? I'll let you know for sure as soon as I know if we're coming for sure
Old     (socalwakepunk)      Join Date: Dec 2002       10-15-2004, 8:26 AM Reply
22 hrs there + 22 hrs back *counts fingers/toes* THAT'S A LOT OF HOURS!!!

Not sure if it's worth all that windshield time, but still, if you get there, we'll find a place for you.

Ahh what a great weekend. I just want to say thanks to the Frews for the ride(& everything else), Steve Bates for the Golden Tee ass whoopin', and all the good folks we met. Also good to see Killingsworth enjoying the sun despite not being able to ride. It was a long drive but definately well worth it. Hope everyone made it home safe and had as much fun as I, it's hard to get down on 85 degree weather and 70 degree water in October.

I stopped by and was amazed by the conditions. Sun was shining, water was warm and there wasn't a roller in sight other than that coming off the CLWC boat! It was great to see all the folks I don't get to see enough and awesome to meet some new ones!

I had an awesome time...thank you very much to Jeff and Cheryl and all the people who helped put on the event. As usual everything went perfect. Except my riding...again, as usual.
