Down south here in Marco the air is 38 and climbing to 40. The water yesterday in Estero Bay was 62.4. That puts us right at 100. And no way in hell I'm getting wet. It's too cold to take a shower!

the lowest we have been in was a20 w40, have a pick of the truck temp but not the water, have pic of icicles dripping, growing off the boards on the tower. this thanksgiving we broke ice at the ramp to get to the water, pics of polar plunge off the dock.

but the sun was shining and it was a dry cold, so no big deal , and these were usually about the last day of the year to ride so it happened knowing that we would be off for at least 3 months.

we usually use the 100 rule for determining if we use wet/dry suit, or trunks.

man up and take a ride for all of us who can't get on the water.

We just rode at Falls Reservoir yesterday here in NC. Water was probably around 40 and the air was around 45. Went with the dry suits and took a good set

What do you guys do about the boat when the air temp is 20 degrees? Isnt it kind of hard on it to pull it out of the water and have everything freeze before you make it home?

I think you southern guys just post this to irritate the northern guys. I have a hard water problem in MN, water you can sink into is water worth riding. I am in it the next day after ice out here.

LOL!!! ^^^ TRDON^^ very true- our water is VERY hard right now!!! We start riding here in April usually and go until mid october- Water temps start out at 50-55 and get up to 85+ in some lakes in the summer. Get a dry suit and a shorty and you're good for 6 months of riding in Minnesnowta.

does -100 degrees work? Because we're getting close to it here in Minnesota. My temp gauge this morning. and yes that's a negative sign.

Honestly ive been in water below 50 several times, if you were here in Montreal your ass on the couch watching the snow falling and waiting 4-5 months to get on a board, you'll run on the deck, make a plunge in that ok freezy water with a shampoo bottle to wash your hair after you put up your board, you rode that **** and ROCK IT !!!! GOGOGOOGOGOG !!!
