So the dealer just told me the compressor went out on my wife's 2010 Jetta TDI with only 50,000miles and they are quoting me $2K to replace it. Can anyone recommend a shop that could do the work around the Rocklin/Roseville area.

Note to self, never by a German piece of crap again. My Ford and Chevy trucks and GMC Suburban has been great but the BMW I had and VW Jetta is a piece crap, well not the TDI motor, just the rest of the car, Rant off

Thanks guys. Performance Motors quoted me less than half what the dealer quoted me and looks like the got good reviews. We can make good beers and sausages but not compressors. Should have bought a Prius and tinted the windows!!

i thought you were going to perform "AC repair" surgery and accept the VW car as payment. you know, AC repair threads are not that uncommon.

yes, i am dumb.

That's pretty funny. I got lucky. VW is actually going to replace it free of charge even though it is out of warranty.
