Wild guess but some kind of swivel mount for driver seat or to make it sit higher?

Bingo!

I relocated my driver seat pedestal. I got tired of staring at the upper windshield frame so I made it higher. I also moved it back and out so I can swivel the damn thing.

Chris, don't tell the IRS, I haven't been reporting my tips.

Great idea Brett! Well executed...
One question, aren't you now sitting off center of the steering wheel?

So now you dont stand when you drive or what? Standing while driving or sitting to high means you are not looking in the mirror at the rider and that is a NO-NO in my book.

Who said anything about standing. I used to drive with the bolster up constantly and it was literally a pain in the a.. Mirrors on recreational boats may be the norm now, but they were not a standard option most boats until fairly recently. BTW I do like and use my mirror and I also have a neck that swivels. One of the main reasons I did this was so I can see in front of the boat. Sitting lower is no good when the bow rises up.

The seat is now slightly off center but I don't care. It's not much.

thats a nice idea. i always stand while driving anyways. like this weekend there was a ton of debris in the lake from recent rains and sitting would have been detrimental to our newly repaired prop, wedge, and rudder.

Sure your not gonna see crap with bowrise, but you shouldnt be taking off if there are obstacles that require you to stand or even worry about seeing until the boat is on plane. Looking through the windshield is ideal.

Nice job!!

I would never own a boat that had so much bow rise that I could not see and felt that I had to stand up. In my book it is just dangerous
