So I went winterize my 2009 SSV and found a notice saying that fogging the engine can damage the catalytic converter. It also says to fog each cylinder by removing the sparks plugs. Anyone have any suggestions? It seems like a pain to remove each spark plug but I will if needed...

Ahh, the age old question, to fog or not to fog. If you fog with the choke out method you risk fauling your plugs also. The reason on a Cat system not to use the fog/choke method is you will mess up your O2 sensors, you prob have 2 for each side. I have used the spray fogging oil in each cylinder for the last 3 years, plugs are fine as well as the O2 sensors. Ir is kind of a pain, but really only takes about 15 minutes to do it.

Remove all plugs, fog each cylinder for 2 or 3 seconds then bump engine over for 2 seconds , then reinstall plugs...02
