Anyone ever completely repainted their board?

My husband has a hobby of painting cars and we wanted to know if anyone has ever painted a board and how it turned out.

I have done it with spray paints and it lasted about a season. That was with minimal prep, with the proper prep work I think it could last longer.

I painted the top of a wakeboard. I prepped it as best I could, and it lasted for a while.

My son painted his. It didnt last very long on the bottom.

i got my one done by a friend that paints cars it lasted the whole time i used that board. it does scratch really easy, but it doesnt come out off using it in the water, only if you hit it on stuff

Dan, does the paint on the bottom of the board change how it reacts in the water?

I would advise against painting the bottom, as it can come off on your vinyl pretty easily.

I have painted a few boards, and I am convinced it is the only way to go.
