after so long of doing tricks and faceplanting i struggle a little on getting up any good tips on where to lay the rope or any thing will help

well i can get up right it is just after i ride for a long time i can't get up as well.

Try not doing the whole lay on your back and pull yourself up with your arms routine. It might take a couple tries to get good at it, but I use a lot less energy if I just stand vertically over the submerged board and keep the front end pointing up just a little bit. When you get pulled, you'll come straight up onto your board no problem.

Keep the rope straight out over your board when it gets tight it'll be up and out of the way, handle about chest high. Maybe not standing was the best description, but kind of a seated position.

I Started last year but haven't been very many times. After some marathon sessions at Lake Powell a few days in a row you can start to feel fatigued. My wife's brother's showed me this method, and it helps save energy a lot, works surfing too (a little harder since the board's not stuck to your feet).

I do it just like Shawn. I was just kind of standing there with my board under the water and the boat took off, and I got up. Now that's how I do it every time. It's almost effortless.

the way i do it is i sit in the water, knees to my chest and the handle sitting on the horizontal board and i keep my arms bent. as soon as the boat starts going i just slowly stand up shifting my dominant foot to the front. takes no effort, i've never become tired from it

from that position you can start to shift your other foot in front and get up riding switch, get used to that and possibly do flat 180's on the water...

Also as you get tired, you might ask your driver not to throttle up so quickly, just let the boat do the work.

alright. If you want to get up with less frustration, try the following: Knees to chest, arms around knees, keep the arms straight, and try to point your heels to your butt (or point your toes). That is the most important part.
