Hey I saw this and thought you would like to see It. It's called the "Crown" it's made by JBL and it's 6,000 Watts and costs $6,000. I think Im going to get a few for my boat!

That's ridiculous, but I bet it sounds cool!

crown is actually a brand name of professional series amps, most known for their macro-tech series, as well as more recently their K series of amps. Crown, Jbl, Infinity, Harmon-Kardon are all owned by Harman International and this looke like a joint venture by crown and JBL to make a big amp.

Crown makes power amps for professional sound reinforcement (concert P.A.'s). I was wondering why they never got into the car audio biz. I guess here's my answer.

I've heard of people using P.A. amps in cars. I assume the reason no one uses P.A. amps in boats is that they run on 110vac, and that doesn't mix well with water! Presumably these amps solve the problem...

I think they mean Crown like "crown & coke" or "gin & juice" fashizzel...

Wow, 6,000 watts and ballast in the same package. Now where do I mount it?
