cwb's been adding to their roster pretty strong this year. Clay fletcher, now Palma, and some of their other guys like nick jones have really been blowing up this season.

i think hes on a transcend actually. he's always ridden the premier, so it makes sense that he'd stick with a 3 stage

He used to ride the Premier and had been riding the Marek the past couple years. Pics on Alliance show him riding a Transcend. Josh is a good dude and a shredder regular and switch...he will do well wherever he ends up.

Palma is not the only one that has been dropped for 2011 from a major team. I have no confirmation but there will be possibly two more that will surprise a lot of people.
Congrats to Josh, x2 for a great dude and great rider. He will do well over there.

That is good for Palma. I think he got lost in the mix riding for Hyperlite. He is a strong rider and I am stoked to see what he does with this momentum.

This is a crazy question but what better topic....
I just purchased an '06 X2 from Bay Area Watersports and they told me it was previously owned by Josh Parma. I got the title and it lists him and his Dad on the title from where they traded it. (For an X-Star of course)
Here is the question, what is the best way to get in touch with a Pro-rider like Josh? email? etc? Would love to get some more info on my boat from him.

Its been a while, but theres been a few. Adam Errington, Nicola Butler, Chria O'shea, Erik Ruck, AJ Racenelli, Kyle Alberts, Josh Palma, Parks, Danny, Emily Copeland, Chad Sharpe. Granted the Ronix riders contracts were up, but none the less HYP still couldnt resign. Theres something going on over there. I understand that its hard to maintain a roster of top riders, but if you think about it, every other company does it as well. So I think it could be an internal issue.

They still have 4 of the top 6 riders on the PWT
Rusty-3rd
Hair- 4th
Lariche- 5th
Murray- 6th
Not to shaggy of a stable of riders. BTW, Josh is a really solid individual and he well rep well wherever he goes.

I think when the Ronix guys and gal left in 2006, it had a lot to do with going where Paul Obrien was going to be.
I think Hyperlite will be okay. Maybe they are just shaking things up a bit.

wow, it seems though with Ruck (who I thought would stick w/hyperlite for a long time) leaving for Ronix, O'shea gone to Company after the end of last season, then seeing Kyle Alberts ridin' for Gator, and now Palma?!? Cripes! and after he's been rippin' it up in the ranks lately, you'd think they'd try workin' w/him more.
John Pretti: "I have no confirmation but there will be possibly two more that will surprise a lot of people."
Whoa, that's really gonna put a dent in their roster 'specially if it'll affect their A team, but maybe that means others will fill in soon.

I wouldn't believe the Hype. They are going to be fine. Their roster is still loaded with the best in the sport not to mention up and comers riding on the legion team. Don't forget that Byerly and his crew are technically all HL riders as well.
I can see why Ruck wanted to go ride for Paul again but I am still wondering if O'Shea made the right choice. He will have to work way harder to stay in the spotlight riding for a smaller company, like Company. I don't know if he has it in him. IMO he would have fit nicely on the Byerly team.
With that said if Murray jumps ship and joins Mike Powell on the Free Motion team we ought to be scared.

Rathy used to ride Hyperlite too. Shuffling the rider deck might be a good thing to keep the wake scene fresh. As someone commented in a previous thread, Ruck looks more comfortable on his new One than he did on a B-Side. New boards and shapes = new style = new tricks = stoked. Its a bummer if a company goes under or falls out of the limelight, but change is good.
