Looking for input on the Supra 242. Any feedback compared to the 24SSV? I am not looking now, but will be down the road. I have searched the forum and not much posted about the 242.

The 242 is alot roomier than my 24SSV, the cabin area seems like it belongs to a boat 2 or 3 feet longer than mine. I've not rode behind one, however, so I can't speak to the wake.

Ive ridden behind one a couple times....very nice wake...it drove really nice too for a big boat. I know they had 1000 lb bags on each side of the motor and the front internal filled with about 500lbs in it....they said it liked alot of rear weight.....the sweet spot was about 82.5

I have not really seen anyone on here with one yet. There are a few folks on Supraboats.com that have them. I have checked them out quite a bit. They are sweet. They are much larger inside as Cody said. Tons and tons of room to lounge out. I love the raked front look on the water too. If I could fit one in my garage, I would have to consider one. I have not spent any time on the water with one, but did snap a pic a few weeks ago of one on the water at AWS boat buyers reunion.

Wow, I am really not a fan of that boats overall lines. It looks like a MB SLC, which in my opinion is a terrible thing. Way too roundy(is that a word) or bubbly and the gelcoat pattern makes it look even worse. It looks like a big old slug sitting in the water.

Dislike.

Is that nose for stabbing dolphins or something? Reminds me of the old Ski Centurion ski boats.

I feel for the dude that puts any weight in the nose of that thing. Little to much rake for my taste, but that's about the only thing I don't care for on the boat.

The boat is really not raked as much as it looks. It is a bit of an illusion cause of the gel coat. It is raked, just like all supra's are (with exception to the 21v). I dont think it is that susceptible for dunking, but I really don't have any experience with it. Here is the LF boat and it is solid color (wrapped) so gives you a bit better idea.

I think the boat looks sik as well. From what newton says it likes weight in the rear so perhaps that would make dunking less of an issue. My '06 is a little raked too and when weighted it's ridin' low upfront. Not a big deal if the driver is aware of it.

I saw and sat in one this weekend. I was amazed with the interior. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see anyone ride behind it but all the reports are that it was better than the 22SSV which he had before (and the 24SSV which he had before that.)
