How is the wake in the elite v-druve or falcon sport. Are they built well? Thanks.

I recently sold my 03 Elite V. It was a great boat for me and I loved the wake. You can see the wake in my profile pic. That is with just stock ballast (about 650lbs) with one adult and four kids. I had no complaints. My brother has same boat one year newer. Its all about what fits your needs/style and pocket book. You will probably get some people on hear say buy a used this or that for same price but if I did it again, I would get the same boat.

The Avalanche is a nice one. With just the tiny stock ballast, it's got some pop.

I have a 98 Elite-V (see profile pic) and the wake is very nice. I was looking for a used v-drive a couple of years ago and this boat has worked out well. Have tried all kinds of ballast options, but now have 700 in back, and 650 in front; it seems optimum with this setup. This hull doesn't need, nor would it respond well to 1200 - 1400 in the back. Added the mechanical-adjustable Centurion wakeplate and that helps maintain wake shape, and improves ride characteristics at higher speeds. Stock ballast and the plate were not options on a 98. Solid engine and drive train. My boat is well made and reliable, but it is not as plush and nice as some of the higher-end boats.

On my 04 Lightning I get nice pop with stock ballast and a crew of only three. I also get a good wakesurf wake with a crew of three. I'm very happy with my Centurion.

2005 Elite-V Air Warrior package, the wake is very nice, here are a few pics of me riding at 75 or 80' at 24.7.
