Tower speaker option for XStar

I hope someone can help me out with a little info. We bought a leftover 2002 X-Star and had the dealer add a few options. Question... when you purchase the tower speakers as an option do they come with their own amp? Our dealer said they don't and hooked them up to the amp for the stereo, telling us it could handle them. It didn't.
Also does anyone know how to get in touch with the people at Mastercraft? I can't find a tele.# anywhere. Thanks much for any info anyone has to offer.

yeah, they come with a 200 watt clarion amp

Shiela, I bought a 02 Xstar a few months ago. It was a demo boat from the dealer which had 40 hrs. I inquired about tower speaks and they told me if i got tower speaks I also needed to by a bigger amp. I decided to wait on it because of the cost adding up. I just got the 6 disc changer for now. I plan to get the amp and speakers later. They shouldn't have done what they did. I think if you go to the MC web site. there is a section where you can email MC.

just call information for vonore tennesse and ask for mastercraft they will give you the number. or call your dealership and ask for the 1 800 number.

but yes the tower speaker option comes with a clarion APX200.2M amp

You need a dedicated amp for your tower speakers.
I don't have the 800 # but here is the regular # to MC.
