I am really looking to get into photography more seriously and have been using a rebet xt and cheaper canon zoom lens for a while now. I am looking to upgrade and am wanting some info on a couple things.

First is that I am looking at the Canon EF 70-200mm F/4L lens as I have heard that it is one of the best all-around lenses out there, especially if most of your shots will be outside (which obviously mine will be since it will be used mainly for wakeboarding pics). My question is...is the IS (image stabilization) worth the extra money for this lens or is the regular lens sufficient? How much difference would I notice? It's quite a bit of price difference between the two and would like to go with the less expensive if it's not gonna make much of a difference.

Secondly, I'm also looking at the T1i body. Any comments on this camera? I would love the 7D, but it too much $$$ right now. Any other body you would recommend over the T1i in that price range?

Lastly, should I upgrade my lens first before upgrading the body? I've heard that the lens is generally what is going to do the most for your photography, not necessarily the body. Thanks for any help!!!
