we were the only boat on lake Arlington...Texas this morning
absolute butter!!!!!
haven't seen water that smooth in a few weeks!!!
the down side....
water temp is a cool 93 degrees

if we don't get rain soon....they will shut the lake down.... like last year

that would put a damper on my flip attempts

also
I took a huge fall this morning, and landed on the back of my head
........the helmet saved me big time!
I've taken similar falls without a helmet and it has always resulted in some numbing in my arms
not this time !!!!!

is 93 warm??? they don't drain our lake til the water reaches 102 --we've have quit a bit of rain lately -- but water is still in the 90's --surface temp is higher.

Josh
93 is warm, but like your lake, it is known to breech 100
our lake is never drained
if been in coves that top 105

that's a little much for me

why do they close or drain the lake when it gets to warm

Because we all know warm water is the result of peeing in the lake. That's why they drain them...to get the urine out.

yeah it sucks now --but is really nice during the "off" season -- we miss very few weekends over the winter months --
