Rumor has it that Malbu will release a all new 23 footer, with a sub 2 second surf gate switch.

I was able to ride in this boat Monday. I have never seen a surf wave like it. Should be a hit!

Is there really a difference in the wave? I heard hull is unchanged from previous, just more freeboard.

What do you mean all new? The LSV had been around for years. How is it "all" new?

yeah it's the same, but my dealer made a comment while out at the dealer meetings Monday that the wake seemed different than the previous models. Maybe just the weight has changed a little due to the deck changes, or it may be perception. Hearing it twice though makes me wonder

Isn't it mostly an upper deck refresh and the Hull is basically unchanged?

Yeah, but this is the second person from the dealer meetings I've heard say the wake is different

I trust this dealer quite a bit since I've ridden with him quite a bit. If he says it's different I think there is some validity. he knows I love the LSV wake so why tell me it's different if it's not?

It's not the same hull. It's very similar but the reps assured it wasn't the exact design as before. Surf wave was the best I've ever seen and very adjustable depending on where the wedge is, speed, etc. The wakeboard wake was pretty similar to the old lsv with a long transition and clean lip. We had around 3000 lbs in it and 6 people. The main difference is that it feels like you are sitting deeper in the boat since the freeboard is taller. Pretty excited about it!

Not to many pics have got out. I've only seen one and the new 23 was in the background.

That dealer is full of crap and trying to drum up business. The hull has not been changed so don't expect the wake to be any different.....which is a good thing.

I saw one while on a plant tour last week and it's sweet (I can't wait to get in one on the water). Was told the diamond hull is the same, but the wake hull is different. My guide would not go into details but said they modified the old hull to improve the wakeboard and wakesurf wake.

Seeing that he's the one who originally told me the hull wouldn't change, has been 100% correct on everything else about the boat, and messages me from the dealer meeting with the info, I think I'll take his word....
He doesn't need to sell me on a new hull, I love the original.
The CEO of Malibu is saving something special for sept 3rd..

The top deck will be different with the MXZ seating, bottom of the deck will be unchanged. A new dash as well.

Wait till September. It's going to be good. Apparently those in the know know more than me, but that's not surprising I guess.

I would NEVER in a million years have believed you would say you didn't know something! LOL I also can't believe you admitted that someone knew more than you! I guess there is hope for a better world after all.

My guide was Blair. Really good guy. The new boat looks great! I heard from people who rode it that the wakeboard wake is similar to the current hull, but slightly larger and a more defined lip. They told me the surf wake was amazing and easily adjustable from super long to step or anywhere in between. I saw some photos and it looked great! I was asked not to take any photos of the 23 when I was there.

I'm not gonna be the ******* that leaks pics but I have plenty. Only thing that changed on the wetted surface is the chines got rounded off a little bit so it may ride a little deeper and make the wake steeper. Interior is updated. Seating in the rear like the mxz and 247.. On the water is it night and day from the 2013? NO. Does it need to be? I certainly think not. There's quite a few changes if you have a keen eye. It's an awesome boat no matter how you slice it. You're gonna see lots of silver flake with a touch of red when they release photos.
