So my wife and I were at a fund raising event last night and see the head mechanic from our local marine dealership come strolling in with his wife. He sees us, comes RUNNING over... and the following conversation commences:

Super Mechanic: "Hey John... let's go surfing tomorrow".
John: "Uhhhh.... OK. What boat"?
SM: "Yours"
J: "You winterized it six weeks ago".
SM: "I'll take care of it".
J: "OK. Water's probably 40 degrees".
SM: "I've got balls"
J: "You won't if you wipe out".
SM: "Worth the risk".
J: "Hook a brother up".

I gues if you're gonna Surf Wyoming, you'll occasionally look like the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man...

We went out Nov 10th the water was 42 degrees, but it was a blast! actually I was the only one willing to get in the water. And I also looked like the Stay Puff Marshmellow Man!

Sure love being in San Diego. Ocean water never below 58. SD bay about the same.

Come visit San Diego and ride this winter as my guest.

Marco... thanks for the invite! Not really a "big city" guy, but we took our kids to see all the sights back in '04 and I was BLOWN AWAY by San Diego. Incredibly clean... friendly people... easy to navigate. My wife and I both agreed that if we were ever to move to an urban area, your beautiful city would be at the top of the list.

Actually headed to Costa Rica at the end of the month for a couple weeks. Plan on diving for 2 or 3 days, hiking a couple volcanoes... and learning to surf. Wife's afraid... once I surf in the ocean, our return trip may be permanently postponed!

If you ever take a trip to Yellowstone or Mount Rushmore, contact me. Have some beautiful lakes here!
